2020–2021 Season
The Virtual Huddle
Our Reflection
This was our club's second year. We welcomed a new member and said goodbye to a founding member as she moved on to pursue other interests. The year brought an unexpected challenge: the pandemic. While our physical workshop went quiet, the club stayed active through weekly virtual meetings. We traded our lab space for Zoom screens, choosing to focus on skill-building rather than competition.
Without the pressure of a tournament, we leaned into creative "home projects." Each member built their own unique model and coded it to life, sharing progress from our makeshift home stations. We kept our team spirit alive using the Zoom Whiteboard to draw and sign digital birthday cards for everyone. This season taught us that our synergy was about more than just robots; it was about staying connected and supporting each other, even from a distance.
