2025–2026 Season - Team Techno Titans
Growing Through Challenges
Our Reflection
We welcomed two new members this season and built on a year of experience, eager to take on greater challenges.
We revisited and overhauled our previous robot chassis, comparing it with last year’s design and gained deeper understanding of chassis principles. This greatly improved reliability and consistency in runs.
Our Innovation Project pushed boundaries: we learned Raspberry Pi control, combined it with our LEGO controlled artifact rig and built a fully automated photogrammetry system with built-in lighting. Professionals in archaeology and photogrammetry praised its ease of use and versatility.
Resilience was tested at Regionals and State. Our first Regional run scored only 50 points. The team rallied to diagnose and refine code. We resolved a major issue of gyro sensor setting, and climbed to 350 points and earned 1st Place Robot Performance. At State, a gear failure threatened half our missions. Three members quickly identified and replaced the damaged gear in the pit, allowing us to score 485 points and win 1st Place Robot Performance again.
Although initially we were confused and disappointed at falling shot of last season’s award at the State despite the clear improvements in our robot performance and project, we eventually discovered the true heart of FLL : the deep bonds we formed as a team through the highs and lows, the shared determination that carried us through every challenge, and the quiet pride in seeing how much stronger we've become—together.

Our Project - A Fully Automated Photogrammetry System
We built an artifact rig which automatically rotates the artifact (walnut) 10-degrees at a time. We used a Raspberry Pi to control the camera to take photos after every move of the artifact. A total of 100+ photos were taken to fully capture the artifact at three view levels and full 360-degree view. Then we used Meshrrom to process these photos and recontruct a realistic 3D model of the artifact (walnut).
